Model Days

Our heart at Christ for Kids Ministries is that every individual would hear the truth: he or she is fearfully and wonderfully made by God, valued and loved by Him. While the modeling industry often promotes very specific ideas of beauty, God's Word tells us that we are His workmanship and beautiful just the way we are.

We host event's encouraging models of all ages to participate in a healthy modeling experience. Miss Julie styles models' hair, provides fashionable apparel, and secures makeup artists for each model's photo shoot and or fashion show. We also put models through confidence building runway training with Carrie Schreiner. Carrie volunteers her expertise and time to help young people know they can be confident and professional, without the darker side of the industry. Carrie breaks the myths, that tells young people they have to be sensual in order to model. Our clothing is always appropriate and gender inclusive. Pictures that are captured at our events are always appropriate, and are shared on social media to inspire others through the message that we are each unique and loved by Christ.
If you would like to participate in one of our events please contact us - everyone is welcome! Participation is free of charge.
Not Forgotten

Through our Model Days, we've had the pleasure of meeting young people from a wide variety of backgrounds. We've enjoyed getting to know and ministering to each of them, learning a piece of their stories and having fun together during the event.
Every now and then, however, we meet young adults in crisis situations. They've called us in need of shelter, food, and clothing; we've done our best to help. But we soon realized we needed an entire program dedicated to helping those in crisis. Not Forgotten was birthed from this real need.
Christ For Kids reaches out to those with no one else to turn to for love or support. We provide assistance with immediate, basics needs, through our affiliated resource programs. By connecting people with programs that provide permanent living situations, we are able to help get these young adults off the streets and back on their feet.
Our program was inspired directly by the words of Jesus, who tells us that He will never leave or forsake us. If you are in need of help, please contact us. You are truly not forgotten!
International Missions
Christ for Kids Ministries reaches kids globally by donating age-appropriate, resources overseas. Amasharay has been our representative abroad, bringing our books to Zambia in 2017, and again in 2019.
Amasharay's time in Zambia was spent primarily at Terra Nova Children's Home, where she shared Christ's love by making herself available to the kids. She had a special ministry opportunity providing hair care, thanks to a donation from Goldwell, opening the door to intimate self-worth discussions, and moments of understanding that we pray they will always remember.

Additionally, through partnership with our publisher, Five Stones Press, we have been able to provide copies of Julie's books to other ministries in both Peru and India. We are so grateful and humbled by the work God is doing; we cannot wait to see where He will lead us next!
Miss Julie's School of Beauty

Through our Model Days and working with young adults in crisis, CFK has been made aware of a serious human trafficking issue in Rochester. We are excited to announce the beginnings of a new program, providing vocational training to formerly trafficked individuals and those at risk of being trafficked. Our program is designed to set up trainees for long term success by offering them the means to earn a living wage. We will be partnering with Brightstar Community, to connect us with survivors and those at risk of human trafficking who want a new life.

As a licensed cosmetologist since 2017, our director, Julie Chapus has gone back to school for teaching certification in cosmetology, completed in May 2021. We are working industriously toward opening our doors to students next year.
