Resilience: Curiosity in Life

Updated: Sep 25, 2024

When we look at difficulties and challenges as new opportunities, we are looking through the lense of growth and improvement. Changes are not considered stressful when we define them as exciting rather than threats to our safety.

I used to associate working harder and stressful situations as opportunities for growth. That stress mindset actually set me back. It limited the amount of information I could absorb. I restricted my breathing, slowed my metabolism, and minimized any possibility of fun.

Fun is crucial to learning. Research has proven play increases one’s capacity to learn and builds social connection. Play is associated with trying new things, experimentation, and exploration. I hope this week you will fit some playful learning into your day!
