Interior Power Part 2

Writer's picture: Jennifer EdwardsJennifer Edwards

Many of us lose connection with their inner strength due to experiences with controlling parents, siblings, or childhood bullies. These experiences create confusion, making it hard to tell the difference between the pain caused by external power and the genuine strength of inner power. Unlike external power, which is rooted in fear and suffering, inner power nurtures and uplifts, guiding us to align with our true purpose; what God wants for us.

External power often carries an emotional charge of fear, anger, hostility, and constant striving. It is driven by the ego’s need to dominate, reinforcing divisive thinking such as “us versus them” or “right versus wrong.” In contrast, inner power comes from the True Self, rooted in qualities like kindness, love, and compassion. It provides strength that does not seek to diminish others, but rather fosters harmony, support, and inclusivity, promoting outcomes that benefit the highest good for all.
