Christ for Kids Ministries was created to help kids become everything God created them to be.
The ministry shares Christ's love through a variety of media, including books, podcasts, social media, programs and classes. (You can check these out under our "Resources" tab on the menu - most are free!)
Christ for Kids is a children's ministry based in Rochester, NY. The nonprofit organization was created by Julie Chapus in 2015 to help Rochester youth (and those in the Greater Rochester area) experience the love of Christ.
Since that time, the ministry has expanded to include programs that help youth in crisis, as well as international missions work. There are no limits to what God can do!
Miss Julie is the founder and director of Christ for Kids Ministries. Julie started this ministry after Jesus set her free and escape a cult. She holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan (2001), and earned her cosmetology license in 2017,and NY State cosmetology instructor license 2021.
Since her calling to children's ministry in 2012, Julie authored a number of Bible-based books, encouraging kids to live out God's Word. Julie also teaches the Bible through imaginative play workshops, and is currently engaged in writing and running programs for teens, she is committed to helping others break out of bondage from cults, and much worse the bondage of human trafficking. Julie understands firsthand the methods used to recruit, groom, and brainwash unsuspecting victims.
Devan has volunteered time here at Christ For Kids Ministries for many years. In addition to working directly with the kids, Devan also produces our video content and animations. We are grateful for the tech support!
Devan is currently working on a video to bring awareness to the human trafficking issue in Rochester, NY, and pursuing a degree in Communication through MCC.
